I'm BACK!!.... with a new little addition!

12:38 PM

Yes, Im sorry... I know I dipped off the face of the Earth there for a while, but as Im sure any pregnant woman would tell you, babies have a mind of their own, and well, my little guy was no different.

May I introduce, Brooks Bailey Yanniello... born 6lbs 6oz, 20 inches long, and 2 weeks early.

Chris and I have had our hands full adjusting to life as new parents, hence the lack of posts and being MIA.

I plan to write a full Birth Story a bit later, but since this tiny little post took me almost a month to write, Im going to have to figure out a better writing schedule to make sure I can post in a timely fashion.
I havent stopped DIYing and actually have two projects that Im currently in the middle of which I plan to tell all about as soon as they are finished.  It's crazy how much LESS time you have when taking care of a newborn... go figure! HA!
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and Im sure there will be about a million more to come in the following months.  I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm alive and all is well with me, Chris, and our new little B man.  The pups are even adjusting great and are loving their new brother!

Thank you so much for all your kind thoughts and prayers!
-Samm (and Brooks)

  1. Congratulations!
This is my first time commenting anything on your blog, even though I found it a couple of months ago (when I was also pregnant with my firstborn daughter who's now 1 month old - I totally understand your lack of time to do anything else, heh...), but when I did find it, I read every single DIY post you published! I love your sense of aesthetics when it comes to decorating and I really admired some of the pieces you re-created ... so congratulations again and hope the little one will give you new ideas and a fresh wave of creativity! And, of course, congratulations to the happy daddy as well! :)

Kinda sorta figured you were working on that particular special project. Do I need to say he's absolutely adorable? Yes, Yes I do! He's adorable!

Mom, take your time. No need for explanations. We'll be here when you're ready to come back.

Again, Congratulations Samm and Chris and Welcome Baby Brooks!

  16. Congratulations!!! I know all about not having time for the computer now that I have not just one crazy, chaotic preschool boy keeping me going, but 3 months ago I had a little girl who has had some health complications and is now on a strict feeding schedule, including a feeding tube!!! Our week at the hospital was the scariest of my life!

Anyway, you and yours get plenty of rest and enjoy these simple newborn days together! Little boys are great distractions from DIYing and projects! lol

  18. Who will do the work? Adding manufactured home additions such as porch or deck is a better DIY project than a whole room. Making additions to manufactured homes is different than adding to a site built property. construction companies san francisco
